Who Am I

Who Am I? Answering that question requires deep soul-searching, which most likely would not be interesting, instead I will pass on who I think I am. After all this blog (interesting 21st century word) is about sharing, stimulating, stirring, shaping and sensitizing. Having potentially captured the intent of the blog, perhaps now I can give you some insight into Dorothea.

After many years (too many to mention) I finally recognized and silently admitted I was an energetic Nerd. I enjoy reading, learning and accomplishing some defined end. Because of this never-ending quest to contribute to the betterment of society, I have engaged in a number of exciting career ventures - author, business professor, realtor, and former business executive turned entrepreneur.

A significant milestone in my life was the publication of Right Makes Might: Reviving Ethics to Improve Your Business (2007). The book reflects my passion for the business community. It gave me a setting to address compelling questions about unethical behavior and its impact on the business community as well as society. But more importantly writing the book provided an excellent opportunity to explore a remedy for the much-publicized moral decay.

While Right Make Might (2007) afforded me a venue to openly focus on a very serious topic, the proliferation of unethical behavior, I do have a lighter side, even sometimes humorous. This lighter side came out in Three Women: One Dream (2008), which was co-authored with two other women. Attempting to show-off our humor even in the most difficult times, individually we tell our stories of overcoming to achieve our dream.

The best is always saved for last – family and faith. I can live with faith without family but I cannot live with family without faith. Aside from enjoying the fullness of family serving the Lord is my greatest joy. This is where my fullness is completed.
